Help with Math!

Hi Parents and Students!

Math is fun, but it can be challenging!  So here are some fun ways to practice your math skills.

Every day you can challenge your son or daughter to use math in daily activities.

  • How much change will we get at the store if I pay with 50 reais?
  • How many kilometers is it from home to school?
  • If we drive 5 days per week, how many kilometers will we have traveled?
  • What fraction of the seats in the car are full right now?  (ex.  2/5 of the seats are full)
  • What fraction of the eggs are left in the carton?
  • While cooking, have your son/daughter help you measure the beans, rice, water and salt.
Here are some great games that help for the topics we're working on.
