Museo do Trem

Hello all!

Miss Patricia and I really want you parents to look over these photos with your children and ask them what they remember, what they learned, and how the museum helped them understand trains!  Of course, it can be in English or Portuguese!

Does anyone know what a "steam engine" is?

 The students finally made it to the Museo do Trem after not arriving due to a manifestation on the first attempt.  The trip was part of a larger exploration of how ancient civilizations are similar and different from our current way of living.  We looked at transportation through a historical lens to get better perspective on the way our city is laid out today.

 

Everybody loved the chance to take a crazy photo!

The students then recapped their knowledge through an interactive game in teams!

We are hoping to take more field trips this year.  We really believe in the power of experiential learning.  After all, the world is the biggest, best classroom of them all!
